Claude Cahun
Claude Cahun was a French artist, photographer & writer. Her work was both political & personal, and often played with the concepts of gender & sexuality. She arrested during the Second World War for distributing flyers and propaganda against the Nazi's on Jersey. After her terrible treatment in jail and the death sentence that was never carried out, she died aged 60 in 1954.
